Beretk!Ah… has been launched by Tatiana Ashakova in August 2010. She has always admired British hat-wear tradition and after moving to the UK in 2009 and finishing her MSc in International Fashion Marketing in Caledonian University (Glasgow) she has decided to develop her passion for hats into a small business.
Distinct brand’s name which originated from a Russian name «Беретка» (Beretka) and translates into English as “Beret” evokes very positive associations among customers and unites in itself Tatiana’s Russian heritage and Internationality, which the brand will hopefully get in the future to a bigger extent.
With a big experience in fashion, that she has gained working as a stylist and make-up artist for 6 years, she has a sharp eye on trends and it enables her to create bespoke exclusive head pieces following last trends. Tatiana is a self-taught designer and she is not limited by specific techniques. She uses different techniques and improvises with materials a lot, what make her head pieces very unique and difficult to replicate.
Tatiana offers bespoke millinery, fascinators and accessories for special occasion and every day which she creates in her Glasgow-based studio. She can create a piece according to her clients’ wishes or her clients can purchase ready-made pieces available at stockists.
